Adoptable Dogs

The Dubois County Humane Society currently has a number of wonderful dogs who need forever homes. Our adoption hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 3-6, Fridays from 4-6, and every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 9-Noon. For adoption related questions, please email [email protected] or call 812-482-7387.

To Apply to Adopt
All potential adopters must fill out our Adoption Application.  Please click on the profile of the pet you wish to apply for and follow the ADOPT ME button. Our staff will review and respond to all adoption applications within 24-48 business hours (The shelter is open Tuesday- Saturday and applications are reviewed during these hours.)  Please remember, adopting a pet is a commitment for 10-15 years.

Fees
The adoption fee for dogs is $125.00. The adoption fee for a puppy under 7 months of age is $200.  Every animal adopted from the Dubois County Humane Society has been heartworm tested (dogs), receives age-appropriate vaccines, de-wormed, microchipped, and receives heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. All animals have been spayed/neutered.
