Foster Care Homes Needed

The Dubois County Humane Society is seeking foster care parents. Foster care is an opportunity to care for an animal that isn't yet ready for adoption such as kittens and puppies that are too young for adoption, orphaned kittens or puppies in need of bottle feedings which involves 24 hour care, cats and dogs that are recovering from surgery, illness or an injury, and senior pets or special needs pets that need a special home to live out the rest of their lives.

Fostering is also an opportunity for someone who loves animals and wants to help animals in need but can't make a long-term commitment. Fostering time can vary from a few days to several months. Whether a person has a small amount of time or wants to make a full-time commitment, we can match them with a pet. All supplies, crates, food, medicines and vet care will be provided by the Dubois County Humane Society. Fosters must be at least 21 years of age and live within 30 miles of the Pet Adoption Center in Jasper.

For more information or to have questions answered about the foster program, please email dchsmail@yahoo.com or call the Pet Adoption Center at 812-482-7387 during adoption hours. Our foster care program Registration Form is below:
